People with disabilities, caregivers, and people receiving support

Space for your needs. Respect for your voice.

For people with disabilities

Therapy is available whether or not you have or need a caregiver. Whether you live independently or receive support, your experiences, preferences, and goals lead the work. There is space for what matters to you, including concerns unrelated to disability.

For caregivers

Caring for someone can bring connection and purpose alongside stress, grief, and exhaustion. Therapy offers a place to talk about your own needs, relationships, boundaries, and the parts of life that can get pushed aside.

For people receiving support

Receiving care does not make your voice any less important. Therapy centers your experiences, preferences, and goals, with space to explore changes in health, independence, relationships, and everyday life.

If you are a family member, caregiver, or support professional helping someone find therapy, you can reach out to ask about services while keeping the prospective client’s wishes and choices at the center.

Disability-informed support

Your life is more than a diagnosis.

Disability, chronic illness, caregiving, and aging can shape daily life, relationships, and the energy available to you. Therapy offers space to talk about what those experiences mean for you, with your own priorities at the center.

Susan brings lived experience of disability and a background in disability advocacy to her work. She listens to your personal experience while paying attention to the systems and barriers around it.

How Susan works

Collaborative, practical, and person-centered.

Your experience leads the work. Together, you can explore what is happening now and what you would like to change.

Susan draws from person-centered, mindfulness, CBT, feminist, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, Health at Every Size, and trauma-focused approaches.

Sessions are shaped around the person in front of her, not a one-size-fits-all formula.
