About Susan
Care is stronger when the whole person is in the room.
Susan L. Weiss, LMSW founded Equal Ground to offer support that feels more accessible, collaborative, and connected to real life.

Susan L. Weiss, LMSW
Susan’s work brings together more than 30 years in New Mexico’s nonprofit community with social-work training, conflict-resolution training, teaching, and disability advocacy.
As a person with disabilities, Susan understands what it can feel like to move through systems that do not always make room. Her work is shaped by that lived experience, her family’s experiences, and a commitment to self-advocacy, mental-health education, and reducing stigma.
She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New Mexico and completed her Master of Social Work at New Mexico Highlands University. Susan also holds a master’s degree in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from Creighton University School of Law. Her clinical practice is under supervision.
